yves reminded me that we still have the blog and i felt bad, that i haven’t written anything in there since summer. to be precise, i just posted once since it was created. anyway. i felt bad about not blogging and not reading, but than i discovered that i was up to date!

my life right now is pretty boring, but still nice. i sit in the university almost every day and do nothing. or at least i can’t focus, because either the subject is dull or the teacher is. that’s why i should work a lot in the holidays right now. i should finish my master project this semester and then write about it next semester (and only that), but i am filling my empty days in my small hometown with chocolate, cookies and every other kind of food, sleeping, reading and meeting friends. unfortunately not with skiing/snowboarding, because on contrary to the rest of europe we have no snow this christmas holidays. it’s raining with +8 °C.

instead of writing my master thesis abroad (which didn’t work out), i will spend my last semester before getting my master’s degree at my university. since the beginning of september i am working in the international office of my school, just to get some money and to be in touch with some new exchange students. i learned a lot about polish and islandic traditions so far. the work will continue until i stop being a student in (hopefully) july.

thanks to my work hannes and me have been in budapest and we experienced some new adventures there. but maybe hannes wants to talk about that in detail. i posted a photo, just as motivation for traveling and fun

but now the things i did during the last two months:

• right after i returned from denmark i had a job interview on the 1st of july. well it took only 5 minutes and now i have a job in salzburg as a flash developer
• luckily i haven’t had to start work immediately and so i went to greece/santorini with my best friends from home. i think this week in greece helped me a lot to overcome your absence in the beginning!
• after this week of holidays i stayed at home for a week and then decided to visit the two belgian guys in belgium and to go to the gentse feesten. unfortunately my flight arrived that late so that i couldn’t get a train from brussels to gent anymore and so i had to stay one night in the shittiest place ever – no, it’s not somewhere in austria the next day i met gert in his basement and he showed me his little family down there (believe me, a lot of people can fit into a basement!). two days later i also went to antwerpen to meet yves and buy a pair of jeans in his store (yves: they are still perfect!). i spent the last day with some of yves friends in brussels (three craaazy girls ). all in all i drank 16 different kinds of beer over there and i have to say: belgian beer is good!
• back home in austria i only had a view days left before i had to start to work in salzburg. i worked there for two weeks – then the boss went on holidays for three weeks (to malaysia) and so there was nothing to do for me and i had holidays again
• in the middle of those two weeks i spent my weekend with gudi and renate in south tyrol attending a local festival, a day at lake garda, almost swimming at midnight, drinking good austrian beer, …
• in this period helene, a few friends and i went to the frequency festival in st. pölten where we saw some cool bands (live)
• after that i was one of the last people flying with skyeurope i went to sicily for one week to visit silvia and valentina. it was a perfect week – i had two personal tourist guides and one night in catania i also ran into walter unfortunately my flight home was cancelled because skyeurope was no more… so all in all it took mi 17 hours to get home from sicily but it was totally worth it!

and now the things that are still ahead of me:

• tomorrow i have to start to work again (this time for 2 ½ weeks). therefore: if someone wants to visit me in salzburg: feel free to come! don’t call – just be there
• until the mid of september i should decide a topic for my final project and if it’s possible i should also think about the theme of my final thesis
• currently i’m also waiting for the reply of a university in new york if i can write my thesis their in my last semester *cross your fingers*
• at the beginning of october i have to go back to hagenberg to university which i’m not looking forward to because i know it’s not going to be the same as it was in copenhagen
• one good thing about university though is that maggi and osk (also students from ballerup) will come to hagenberg to study at our university with us

so that was my summer and is my near future! thank you all so much for everything – except janne whatup man? haven’t heard from you for a long time!

The summer was really nice, going to the mountains, playing beachvolley, swimming in all the beautiful mountain lakes around and of course in “my” swimming pool at Tramin (where we still have to go during the night, gell Hannes and hanging out with friends. Ohh, and I was also working

For me the summer is over when exams start and the apple harvest begins (Yes, my father is farmer and I have to help). The temperature is still over 30°C, so it’s not funny to do one of those two things.

Now I’m at my new/old appartment in Verona, the city were I’m studying. It’s the first time that I’m here for more days (and for exams) so it feels like coming home a second time, in a different life.

Here the things that changed:

all my beloved plants are dead, ok there were only two, but still I’m sad =(

a new roommate (but I didn’t met her yet)

…and the things that didn’t changed:

that two of my roommates are behaving like 15 and that’s kind of annoying

my landlord (calling every minute without reason)

the strangers drinking and screaming in front of my window

Ok, summer is not totally over, this weekend a friend has birthday and we are going every year to a cottage in the mountains: that means no electricity, water from the creek behind the cottage and a dunny (hope googletranslate is working and a lot of alcohol. I have to show them a new drinking game! It’s gonna be legen wait for it dary

I have to study now… tomorrow next exam

hmm, actually I’m going to watch “How I met your mother”, thank you that you showed it to me!

after cph i had a really hard time to cope with my life back in germany….
everything seemed to change and i was stilling living in cph style (staying up all nite and sleepin all day)….
one thing i really missed and still miss is all of you guys… i missed just calling someone and then hanging out with some beers….
cph still seems like a dream and somehow doesnt fit into my other life… it feels like these 5 1/2 month i stayed at saturn and had the best time
of my life… thank you guys you made it special
fortunately now i feel good again…. i can finally cope with my life in germany again….
probably its because i have a boyfriend now…. he is a really good guy and i know him already for a long long long time
but he never seemed to me interesting…. but that changed now… i am really happy with him… he is really good for me….

the last few weeks i was working a lot… i guess i told almost all of you that my mom has a kiosk at a lake for the summer… its fun working
there but also really exhausting…. you meet really good people and right now we have visitors from the US which is fun for me cuz i can
talk english again
but this week i also speak a lot of english cuz i am hanging out with steve (for those who dont know steve, he also lives at DIK and i met him during
the time in cph…. it feels like a bit of cph is coming back to me … which is sooooooooooooooooooo much fun)
right now we are on the way to rosenheim to meet up with the other german guys… some kind of reunion …. i am really looking forward to seeing
them again and its also gonna be fun cuz helene is gonna be there as well *jippie*

the weekend before that i was at a festival which was also a lot of fun…. well and loads of beer…. the only time when water was allowed was when
we were brushing our teeth other from that you had to drink beer or something else
well of course we also drank water cuz i was so fucking hot and i got sooooooooooooooooooooooo sunburned….. but i gonna upload some pic and gonna
make a fool out of myself but this was really the way i was walking around for the whole weekend… at that time i didnt care but now i think its a bit
embarassing but whatever!!!!!

So… After Hannes visited me, i went to pick up Marta at the airport (jaaay)
We spent the days running across Belgium and Amsterdam, went to a festival, swim, shopping, visit friends, go to apple store… a lot of things in only 12 days… Now i have one week to look for an appartement, finish the complaints (about dutch railroad service, bad hotel service in holland, apple store service, porto-boattoursservice,…), check to repair bikes (Guillermo, it will cost 60-70€ only so i’ll get it repaired as soon as possible and start looking for buyers), paint shoes, eat candy, watch more appartements, help Kitty who’s opening a photography/graffiti store at the end of the month,….

So yes, everything is rushing like usual

i hope to hear some people on skype soon! AND HAPPY BDAY HANNESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today, after 4 weeks, was my last working day and now I am looking forward to some quality time with my friends and my family. The last summer at the lake was so awesome, because everyone was single and in party mode and I am afraid that changed radically. Except one friend of mine everybody is in a relationship and they got boring somehow. No, not really. I am exaggerating. They are still great, but it’s different, you know?! Not least because I had such a good time with you guys and it’s hard to compare anything to that. :–)

My plans for the next days, weeks and months are

• buy festival tickets for the FM4 FREQUENCY in Austria
• and go there
• sleep and eat some good food
• swim and spend some nights at the lake
• go hiking with a tyrolean friend of mine
• go climbing
• read some good books
• go and visit Ines
• go and visit the German guys at the Rosenheimer Oktoberfest
• and finally plan my Interrail trip in September

As I already wrote to most of you: Although it’s great at home, I miss the times in Copenhagen. Approximately every 5 minutes I think of something that reminds me of something that reminds me of something that was going on in Denmark. Mostly music achieves that, even songs I never listened to in CPH. Since I got back, I always have the feeling that I have to do something extraordinary in order to keep up with the times of the last semester and I will try to realize that the next weeks. :—-)

Although it sounds somehow kitschy and maybe pathetic to GERT and especially to me, I carry all of you in my heart while doing all the good stuff in Austria! And just to let you know: I am waiting for all of you to visit me, so book a flight and come here. It’s not that expensive and you can stay at my home! Bis bald!

The Yellow One

It’s been a month and a half since I left sunny CPH and the lovely companion of great selection of European youth and flew away. Since that, a lot of things have happened, but not too many changes have taken place tho..

Two things are still for sure. Every time that I have laid my thoughts on the past spring I start instantly missing a lot of crazy times with even crazier people.. all that good stuff you know! Second thing would be me and my lazy ass with Skype and stuff. To be honest, I have been able to cut my time on the computer quite a lot but I am still online everyday so I should be able to log in as well.. what ever, I will try my best in the future!

All in all, it has been really different summer that I have used to. First time in 10 years I didn’t get summer job so I have been just hanging out pretty much all the time that I have been back home from DK. I have had a lot of time to see my friends, hang out, bbq, go to the beach and swim..all that cool stuff you should be able to do when its summer time. I have been enjoying slow mornings on daily bases, just relaxing with two hot cups of coffee and newspaper, with no hurry what so ever! Another cool thing is that I have found time to do sports almost twice a day since I got back. Last time that happend I was small kid with no idea of the future..oh yeah, not too much change there tho, just that I am not that small anymore I guess. But still, its been pretty mars-awesome, I have enjoyed!!

Oh one more thing about the differences. It has been great weather in Finland for almost all the time I have been here. The best weather that I can remember..

OK, that’s enough for the off topic crap..

Summer is over, isn’t it? For me it is, I guess.. yesterday my parents got back from the summer house and my time as a King of the castle is over..I got my roommates back.. whatup! Now I start thinking that the job would have been nice..really nice..

Other than that fact that I reunited with the fam again, tomorrow I might be able to get contact to the people in my school,cool! That would hopefully mean that I could start working on the final project, which subject is still wide open in tha air.. I guess it’s time for me to be an adult for a while and get that pice of paper with my bachelors degree on it.. maybe new school and new adventures after that? How does Scotland sound like? ok, let’s not go that far yet, time to concentrate on some unfinished business first!

So I guess my summer is over then..

btw, thank’s for all those letters and cards! Me and Santa have been really happy to get them!

I’ll promise to put Skype on and be more online, in general! Let’s catch up more on deeper detail again my dear friends! Luv ya all!

Here in Spain is really hot, I will have to go to the beach in few minutes if I don’t want to melt. I should go to the Post Office today to send a stupid paper to my home university, but they wrote my address wrong, so I will have to wait until tomorrow to call them and ask to correct it. Spanish way!

So, I hope all of you have a good summer, be careful those who are from the south of Europe (Spain, Italy), ’cause the Sun is in a very bad mood, and the solar burns are really bad for your health!
